“Every Hollywood exec is on the phone right now saying, ‘Next year, we’re gonna save a BUTTLOAD with no sound or color!’” Rob Kutner
Last night’s Oscar Highlight Re-Cap: Sacha Baron Cohen proved himself to be a dickweed on the red carpet. Surely his 15 minutes expired long ago. Octavia Spencer’s win was deserved and her reaction touching. Jennifer Lopez’s nipples did their best to make a guest appearance. The exchange between presenters Ben Stiller and Emma Stone was pure Oscar corn but Stone totally pulled it off. The Academy should seriously consider her for next year’s hosting duties. Viola Davis left her wigs at home - and looked stunning and gorgeous. She should have won best actress but lost to Streep - whose win over both Davis and Close was a huge and confusing surprise. Favorite Oscar moment? When The Descendants co-writer Jim Rash hilariously re-created Angelina Jolie’s constant and now-famous (fun? or embarrassing to watch?) right leg pose.
