Sam Smith: one of the faces of music’s “new sad movement” and at the center of the discussion of what it means to be gay and popular.
Came across this bollard earlier, so I went looking for more and found these terrific figurative bollard sculptures by artist Jan Mitchell located in Geelong, Victoria (Australia). Commissioned by the city in 1994 to commemorate quirky characters and events from Geelong’s history, more than 100 of Mitchell’s pieces reside along its revitalized waterfront.

It doesn’t matter
who you love
or how you love
but that you love.
For in the end
The act of loving anyone
is the act of loving God.
The good in men
is all the God there is
and loving is a contribution
to that good
and to that only God.
